I’m moving to Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines for the next 3 months! I’ll be working with a local non-profit named Roots of Health or Ugat Ng Kalusugan. This organization aims to provide reproductive healthcare services to empower all women to regain control of their lives and empower them to live out their highest potential. Given the lack of government support for this work, ROH was up until a few years ago, the only provider of reproductive health services. I’ll be analyzing the impact of the withdrawal of ROH’s work from neighbouring communities, hoping to improve its phase out in the future and advocating to its donors.
